The nestlings are 4 weeks old, and big galumphs with very long wings when unfolded. Their coloring has changed and true feathers are growing in and replacing downy feathers.
Their camoflage is so well matched it is hard to see really how big they have gotten. Although they are grabbing and ripping at fish brought in by the male, they are mostly still being fed by the female.
On the left osprey you are only seeing 2/3 of the total wing length, which is folded in thirds. It is hard to tell where the baby osprey's body ends and where the background material starts.
