Osprey Update: April 17
The first egg was laid on April 12, the 2nd egg on April 15, and the third egg was laid on, or about April 17. Really? 3 eggs! What were we thinking? Osprey incubation is 35 - 42 days. The earliest to expect hatching is May 17 - 22.
Osprey Update: April 6
April 6: The nest looks ready for eggs. There has not been much change to the nest in the last day or so. It has a nice soft insulating center - even a little greenery for homeyness. Amazing! In a week the nest has gone from bare floor to nearly ready.. T
