Ospreys 2026

They are back. Individual ospreys have been seen in the area of the Power company pole this week, And, there has even been an osprey & eagle aerial interaction, but it looks like the eagle has retreated to its own nest. And so, let the 2026 Block Island Osprey nesting season begin today - March 27, 2026.

We will look carefully to determine if one or both of he osprey are banded.
